Our Story
A Message from the Founder
Chástories was born from yusu.co.“Chá” means tea in Chinese, and “stories” are the quiet moments that slowly unfold within a cup of tea.
In early 2018, I had the opportunity to live in Osaka, Japan, for nearly five years. It was a slow yet deeply formative chapter of my life. Through everyday living and work, I gradually came to understand a spirit deeply rooted in Japanese culture — the spirit of craftsmanship. It does not seek to be seen quickly, but reveals itself through daily repetition: care for details, respect for time, and a sincere attentiveness to life’s smallest moments.
It was within this rhythm of life that, at the age of 33, I began to rethink the idea of “gentle wellness.” Wellness should not feel like a burden, nor should it exist only at specific moments. It can flow naturally into everyday life, becoming a quiet part of living
During my time in Japan, I began to envision and experiment with creating my own herbal wellness tea brand inspired by traditional Eastern practices. I hoped to combine the wisdom of Eastern herbal traditions with the restraint and warmth found in Japanese ways of living — transforming them into a cup of tea that could gently accompany daily life, making self-care feel simpler and more natural.

Each Chástories tea blend is developed with guidance from qualified traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, refined through many rounds of careful testing and adjustment. We value balance in every formulation, and we care just as deeply about the aroma and taste of each cup. While supporting the body, we also hope each cup invites you to slow down and experience the natural, mellow, and gradually unfolding fragrance of herbal tea.
Looking back at the early days of the brand, there were certainly imperfections and many detours along the way. Yet what has never changed is the sincerity behind it — the wish to share the teas I personally drink and revise time and again with more people. Chástories has grown, little by little, through repetition, patience, and quiet persistence.
Chástories is not just a brand, but a record of time, patience, and choices made in everyday life. May every cup of tea quietly accompany you in your daily moments, and help you find your own pause of calm.
